friendships and leisure opportunities between
people with learning disabilities and other
members of the community. SBS
works with adults with a learning disability
ie. anyone aged 18 and over.and recruits
and supports volunteers (befrienders).
Their friendship will enable people with
a learning disability to participate, as
fully as possible, in all aspects of their
chosen leisure activity.
SBS
makes every effort to ensure friends are
carefully matched and that the aims, values
and principles of SBS are fully understood
and followed by befrienders.
