The Suffolk Local History Council exists to encourage, promote and assist the study and research of local history in the county of Suffolk. It is a county federation of local societies , groups and bodies interested in local history.

Open April-September, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10am-4pm.and a scale model of Saxmundham Railway Station complete with working trains, replica Victorian shopfronts, costumes and dolls. In addition visitors can enjoy the recreation of the Saxmundham Playhouse cinema complete with 1930's projector.
